Before travel planning

You can easily check information about the sanitation and medical care in the place that you will be visiting. It is best to know if there are health risks so you can plan accordingly. It is suggested that you complete immunisations before your trip. Have your dental checkup too in order to avoid dental problems ruining your trip. Do you have your medical kit packed in your suitcase? Make sure you have it stacked with medicines for common ailments.

While travelling

Carrying a water bottle around is helpful. There are also water purification tablets that can help you if you are unsure of the water's safety. If you are visiting an area with malaria risk, bring insect repellent. Stock your purse with medicine in case you lose your luggage.

When you're back from travelling

If you develop symptoms after your trip, let your doctor know where you travelled.
